What is the Welfare Committee?
The Welfare Committee is a group of PVEA members who is responsible for monitoring how our contract is implemented during any given contract term. The Committee members review the language of the contract and verify that it is being appropriately followed by the School District. Although the Welfare Committee meets regularly throughout the term of a contract, it becomes particularly active as the end of the contract draws near. It is at that time that the committee begins to prepare for the next round of negotiations to determine how the contract should be adjusted for the next term. That time is now.

When does the Welfare Committee Meet?
A regular meeting schedule is usually set by the committee members during initial meetings. There are approximately 2 meetings per month. Here is the current schedule:

Who can be a part of the Welfare Committee?
Any PVEA member who is willing to commit to regularly attending welfare committee meetings is welcome to attend and share his/her input.
