1. Before you can participate in the forum, you must register and receive a username and password (for help with registering, follow the link on the forum page)
2. Log into the forum using your username and password
3. Scroll down the forum page and select a forum to view. In this case, we scroll to "High School Classroom Success Stories"
   
   
    
4. To view the topics within this category, click the text. You see below that there are 2 topics people have posted regarding "Classroom Success Stories" from the High School. One of the topics is titled "A Positive Note". (Arrow 1 below)
   
   
    
5. To see what this member posted regarding a positive note, click on the text at arrow 1 This shows you the message in your internet browser.
6. To post a reply to this topic, click the icon at arrow 2. Also note: You can also post a reply to the message in the window when you read the message in step 5.
7. When posting a reply you will see the window below.
    
   
    
8. Type your reply to the message in the message box at arrow 1
9. Add emotion to your message (if you want to) by selecting the buttons at arrow 2
10. Submit your message to the discussion board by clicking the button at arrow 3
    
    
     
11. Any member who now views the forum can see that there is a new reply to this topic by viewing the information by the arrow. Also notice that "A Positive Note" has moved to the top of the list of the 2 topics.
12. Any member who clicks to view "A Positive Note" now sees both the original message as well as your reply at the arrow below.
     
    
     
13. But what if you want to start your own topic to share your own classroom success story? Back in the "High School" "Classroom Success Stories" forum, click the purple "New Topic" folder at the top or bottom of the page (Blue arrow below)
    
    
     
14. Now, simply give your topic a title, and type your message just like when you replied to someone else's topic. The photo below shows an example
    
    
     
15. Click the "Post New Topic Button, and see your message added to the other topics. Now other members can read your idea and respond.
    
    
     
16. Notice your message is posed above "A positive note" at arrow 1. Also notice the new tools you have for this topic at arrow 2. These allow you to not only reply to your own topic, but you may also trash your topic or edit it.
