The Press Release...

On Friday, October 3, the Perkiomen Valley Education Association (PVEA) & Educational Support Personnel Association (ESPA) sponsored a Longaberger Basket Bingo & Basket Raffle at the Skippack Fire Hall to benefit the Perkiomen Valley Student Loan Fund.

In addition to bingo, the faculty and staff from each school within the district sponsored a Longaberger basket for a basket raffle by filling it with items related to a theme such as “Family Fun Night” & “Patriotism”. Approximately 175 Perkiomen Valley School District faculty and staff as well as community members attended the bingo event that raised approximately $2,800 for the Perkiomen Valley Student Loan Fund.

All proceeds from the event benefited the PV Student Loan Fund that provides 0% interest loans to PV graduates who demonstrate need and plan to further their education.  To date, all loans have been repaid to the Fund in a timely fashion. The Student Loan Fund is a wonderful program that helps to provide assistance and open additional opportunities for students in Perkiomen Valley School District. Although not every Longaberger bingo or raffle participant could win a Longaberger basket, the students of Perkiomen Valley School District were the true winners during this fun-filled evening.

Approximately 175 Perkiomen Valley School District faculty and staff as well as community members attended the bingo event that raised approximately $2,800 for the Perkiomen Valley Student Loan Fund.
